Last year's participants share their highlights:

Alanna intentionally chose running as her activity, because “all of the training leading up to the day and the day itself reminds me that forward movement is only achieved step by step. Sometimes the problem of human trafficking can seem overwhelming so [training] was a practical reminder that small actions can have a big impact!”

Alanna ran a half marathon and raised $1,725.

For Dan, the best part about being involved in Move for Freedom was “gathering with others to do an activity we all enjoy, while supporting a good cause.” This year, Dan and his wife Jo are looking forward to Move for Freedom again, and are hoping to “reach out further to the growing pickleball community” to increase the number of participants who join in.

Dan played pickleball with his wife and friends and raised $11,800.

While reflecting on the day. Laurel says “it was incredible to be part of a larger purpose to raise funds and awareness for Ally.” When it comes to fundraising, Laurel knows that asking can be hard–but she says it’s important to make your requests personal. “Just asking gives others the opportunity to give. Some people want to be a part but don't know how. So, ask!”

Laurel walked 42km with her sister and friend and raised over $20,000.

Although it rained When they reached the end of their 22km route, they celebrated triumphantly until they realized they had to repeat the journey to arrive back at home! Peony says “It was amazing to spend the day outside with people I love, doing something for a greater purpose. I loved seeing how many people participated around the world and how much money was raised.”

Peony biked 44km with friends and raised over $1,000.

David said the most inspiring moment of the day was when team members who had already finished riding 100km chose to go back to help the rest of the team finish well. He said there was also an amazing community that didn’t physically join the ride, but helped their team on the sidelines. Their encouragement and support meant so much!

David and "Team Vitality" biked 100km and raised over $8,300.

For Danice, the best part about being involved in Move for Freedom was “knowing that we all stood together in support of one common goal, which is to one day end human trafficking. Among the many fundraising teams and donors, Ally Global Foundation created a ripple effect of generosity and support. Small acts, when multiplied, can transform the world—my team was happy to be a part of that.”

Danice and team "Hike for Hope" hiked 11km and raised $6,336.
